What types of locations work best?

We look for high-traffic spots serving 50 or more people daily. Great fits include apartment buildings, offices, gyms, healthcare facilities, and hotels. The location should have accessible electrical outlets and access to WiFi or wireless data.

What if the location already has vending?

Some locations are a great fit even with existing machines — especially if the current setup is outdated or poorly stocked. We're happy to take a look and see if there's room for us to offer something better. Reach out and we'll evaluate it together.

How should I approach decision makers? Should I reach out to you first?

Either works, but reaching out to us first is a good idea — we can give you a quick sense of whether the location is likely a fit before you have the conversation. If you'd rather go straight to your property manager, you can share our flyer or direct them to lemonade-vending.com. Once they express interest, just connect us directly and we'll take it from there.

When do I get paid?

You'll receive $200 per machine after it's been installed and operating for 30 days. Payment is tied to installation, not just the initial conversation — so the deal does need to go all the way through to a signed agreement and a live machine.

Do I need to close the deal myself?

Nope. Your job is to make the introduction. Once you connect us with the right decision-maker and they sign an agreement, you've done your part. We handle all negotiations, installation, and ongoing operations.

What counts as a qualified referral?

A qualified referral is a warm introduction to the actual decision-maker, such as a property manager, at a location that meets our criteria and is within our service area. Passing along an address isn't enough; we need a real contact who's open to a conversation.

What if a location is outside your service area?

We currently serve San Francisco, Daly City, Pacifica, South San Francisco, and Brisbane. But if the location is a little outside our area and you think it would be a great fit, let us know!

Is there a limit to how many referrals I can submit?

No limit. If you know five locations that are a good fit, refer all five. Each machine that gets installed earns you $200. We may need to collect tax information if you provide more than three referrals in a calendar year.

I'm responsible for approving vendors at my property. Can I claim the referral fee?

No — the referral program is designed for residents, employees, and community members who connect us with decision-makers. If you're the decision-maker, reach out to us directly and we'll talk about whether it's a good fit for your property.

What happens after I submit a referral?

We'll follow up with the property contact you provided, evaluate the location, and handle everything from there. We'll let you know if the agreement moves forward. If you don't hear back within a week, feel free to check in.

Is there any cost to the property?

There are no service fees or upfront costs to the property. We provide the machines, stock them, and maintain them at no charge. We do have a standard vending agreement that outlines the terms of the placement — but there's nothing for the property to pay.

Do you offer commission to the property?

Yes, we typically offer a revenue share arrangement to properties — but the specifics get negotiated directly with the property manager or owner. Feel free to mention that it's on the table, but leave the details to us. Don't promise any specific numbers or percentages.

Do I need to have an existing connection to the location?

Yes — our referral program is designed for warm introductions. The best referrals come from people who already have a personal relationship with a property manager, building owner, or business decision-maker.

Can I cold call or email locations I think could work?

Please don't. Reaching out to businesses or properties on behalf of Lemonade Vending without prior authorization isn't permitted, and referral bonuses won't be paid for placements resulting from unsolicited outreach. If you think a location would be a great fit but don't have a direct connection there, feel free to pass the lead along to us — though it wouldn't qualify for the referral bonus.
